Sam has 25+ years’ experience in the UK professional recruitment sector. ||APSCo UK is the only UK recruitment trade body with an international footprint & the only body specifically representing recruiters within professional sectors. It represents members’ best interests and supports their business success.
Sam started working with APSCo UK in 2010, setting up their legal helpdesk, and then taking on their public affairs. Sam lobbied Government on behalf of APSCo members on the AWR, IR35, Off-Payroll Rules, etc., between 2010 and 2020, and sat on HMRC’s IR35 Forum from its inception, and co-chaired the Forum from 2018 to 2020. As MD of APSCo UK her remit is the development of APSCo’s presence and reputation in the UK, ensuring innovation, & development of existing and new members services, including world class recruitment training, and events.
Prior to joining APSCo permanently in 2013 Sam owned & ran a legal services company providing compliance and legal services to mainly SMEs in the UK recruitment sector. She started her career as a consultant in an IT recruitment business, progressing through to management roles.
