UPDATE We have been saying "the market is tough" for almost 2 years but it doesn't seem to help. It isn't just that the economic landscape is bleak, there is something awry with OUR market. Recruitment has never felt more broken. We spend circa 90,000 hours in paid employment over the course of our lives. The average person changes job around 5-7 times in their careers and almost 70% of candidates trust recruiters to find them a job, and a further 70% of clients trust recruiters to find them a good candidate... So what is going on? Why are things so tough at the moment? We will explore why the breakdown in communication has left us all feeling a little broken ourselves and what we can do to improve the state of play and, per chance, give our industry a better reputation. We are change makers, game makers, career builders. Somehow we have become a stuck cog in a broken wheel. Let's see if we can change that.
