Paul Sculthorpe MBE, two-time Man of Steel, and former St Helen’s & Great Britain Captain. Winner of 2 Man of Steel, Paul Sculthorpe was born on 22 September 1977 in Burnley, Lancashire, England.
He grew up in Oldham. He played junior rugby league for Waterhead but started his professional career with Warrington, making his début in 1995. A year later, he was named in the inaugural Super League Dream Team, and in the post season he went on the 1996 Great Britain Lions tour of Oceania.
In 1997, Sculthorpe moved to St Helens and in the post season of the same year, Sculthorpe was selected to play for Great Britain at loose forward in all three matches of the Super League Test series against Australia.
RLFC Captain of Warrington and St Helens and RL Captain of Great Britain, Sculthorpe was both World Club Champions (twice), Super League Champions (5x), SL League Leaders winners (5x) and Challenge Cup Champions (5x).|
