James Cracknell OBE
Rowing champion and double Olympic gold medallist.
James Cracknell is a double Olympic gold medalist and one of the world’s top rowers. He first made his mark in 1990, winning gold at the Junior World Championships. After joining the senior team, he went on to claim World Championship titles in 1997, 1998, and 1999, cementing his legacy with a gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Despite setbacks, including missing the Atlanta Olympics due to illness, James's determination saw him dominate the sport. Beyond rowing, he holds an MSc in Sports Science, is a qualified Geography teacher, and is currently studying Law.
